Budoni sandy beach

The fine-grained sandy beach at Budoni is uniquely beautiful. The advertising industry is well aware of this, which is why the beach has already featured in numerous adverts, including a Jena advert starring the actor Götz George.

This idyllic spot is ideal for holidays with children, who can play and splash about there in complete safety. The water is shallow near the beach and, as is the case everywhere along the east coast,  there are no strong currents. In the high season, particularly in August, things can get a little livelier on some sections of the beach; those who value peace and quiet may have to  accept slightly longer walks in the height of summer or choose a quieter time of year to visit.

The sea off Budoni is popular with surfers. During the summer months, there are various water sports schools on the beach; you can also hire sports equipment there. There are also wonderful snorkelling spots.

Restaurants situated right on Budoni beach are a rarity in Sardinia and are very popular with our guests. Here, you can dine whilst enjoying sea views. Parents of young children can also savour leisurely meals here in complete peace and quiet. If the little ones get restless whilst waiting for the next course, they can play in the sand right outside the restaurant, whilst Mum and Dad sit back and relax.

The Sardafit houses 120–144 and 176 are situated on the outskirts of the village and so close to the beach that you don’t need a car. Those staying further away who arrive by car will find plenty of parking spaces right by the beach; these are subject to a charge. If you’d prefer to park for free, you can do so a little further away from the beach.

  • Telecommunications: Mobile phone reception is available almost everywhere. Payphones can be found in street cafés. Additionally, fax and telephone services are provided by a German-speaking service office in the village.
  • Hiking: The local “Pro Loco” (= the municipality’s tourist office) offers a wide range of exploration tours across the whole island. Sardafits’ service office organises tours exclusively for its guests into the unspoilt mountainous countryside, the highlight of which is a feast with Sardinian shepherds in the most beautiful scenery, boat trips to the offshore islands, the grand Sardinian wedding feast at a farmhouse in the countryside, and much more. A map is useful for walks in the hinterland, as there are no signposts away from the roads. Highly recommended: beach walks!
