Holiday homes in San Giovanni, dream homes in a beachfront location.San Giovanni is the southernmost tip of the municipality of Posada and borders directly on the small fishing and yacht harbour of La Caletta. This is very advantageous, because unlike San Giovanni, La Caletta offers pretty much everything a holidaymaker could wish for in terms of infrastructure.
San Giovanni is located directly on the sea in a pine forest. Locals have built their holiday homes here without giving any thought to a structural plan. As a result, the town exudes the charm of Mediterranean diversity, in contrast to the uniformity of new housing developments in Central Europe. The beautiful beach has something for everyone. Families with children get their money's worth here, as do surfers and sun worshippers or holidaymakers who just want to switch off and relax. By the way: even though San Giovanni is an excellent surfing spot, surfers are still in the minority. The majority of our guests are non-surfers who choose this place as their destination time and again because of its many other advantages.
All the houses in San Giovanni are located within easy walking distance of the beach, shops, bars and restaurants. San Giovanni borders La Caletta to the south, and this pretty yacht and small fishing port is actually the centre of San Giovanni. It is lively here all year round. There is a promenade with shops, boutiques and entertainment for children. The best gelateria far and wide can be found in La Caletta, and seafood lovers will find what they are looking for in the harbour. The great thing is that it is within walking distance of Sardafit's houses in San Giovanni, so you can not only enjoy excellent fish, but also wash it down with wine!
The bay of Posada is a single, large sandy bay. Approaching from the north, you first come to the mouth of the Rio di Posada. Anyone who loves unspoilt nature will be enchanted by the sight of this part of the beach. San Giovanni is about two kilometres away. In addition to the fine-grained, gently sloping sandy beach, there are a few small sections of rocky beach, in the middle of which stands a Saracen tower. Just behind it is the small yacht and fishing harbour of La Caletta. At its end, the beautiful sandy beach continues. The lively resort of Santa Lucia marks the southern end of Posada Bay. While the northern parts are largely undeveloped, parts of the beach south of La Caletta are lined with holiday homes. The sandy beach also ends in Santa Lucia. It is followed by a dense pine forest with a rocky beach, which only turns into another sandy bay at Capo Comino.
There are plenty of parking spaces directly on the beach. Only a few of them are subject to a charge. If you want to avoid the small fee, you can park in the hinterland, from where the beach is within easy walking distance.

Location: East coast, approx. 50 km south of Olbia. The journey from Olbia ferry port or airport takes around 40 minutes. A car is not necessary for all houses.

Shopping: Good selection including fresh fish of all kinds in La Caletta, small selection of groceries for daily use also available in San Giovanni.
Internet: From June 2017, surfing will be regulated uniformly throughout the EU. The connection in the town and the surrounding area is very good almost everywhere. The Centro Servizi Tartaruga rents out routers, and Sardafit guests can also log in for free in various restaurants.
Nightlife: In La Caletta, there is a programme for all age groups throughout the year, which is more locally oriented.

Restaurants: A wide range of options from ‘simple’ to ‘gourmet’ available all year round in San Giovanni, La Caletta and Siniscola.
Sport: Boat hire, bicycle hire, fishing, horse riding, sailing, surfing, diving, tennis in the surrounding area, e.g. La Caletta. (All depending on the season!)
Language courses: A small, lively language school opened in Posada in 2003, which also offers short courses.
Telecommunications: Mobile phone reception almost everywhere. Pay phones in street cafés. Additional fax and telephone service provided by a German-speaking service office on site.
Hiking: The local ‘Pro Loco’ in Orosei (= tourist office of the municipality) offers a wide range of exploration tours across the entire island. Sardafits service office organises exclusive tours for its guests to the undeveloped mountainous region, the highlight of which is a feast with Sardinian shepherds in the most beautiful countryside, boat trips to the offshore islands, the grand Sardinian wedding menu at a farm in the countryside, and much more. A map is useful for hikes in the mountainous hinterland around Sardinia's highest mountains (1800 m), as there are no signs away from the roads. Very nice: beach walks!
