Average values even ups and downs. That means that for example the water temperature near the coast, where you go swimming, is usually considerably higher than shown in the chart.
Sardinia has comfortable temperatures and much, much sunshine. Already in March you can go swimming on some days. (The small, protected beaches are recommendable). The high summer is hot, but dry. The heat is therefore comfortable. Furthermore, the island winds take care of refreshment. The summer month including September can be considered as weather-proof. Beginning with October the risk of a little rain starts to raise. However, the sea is still warm enough to spend pleasent days at the beach. Even in the winter month it might still be possible to go swimming an some warmer days.
