San Teodoro

The lively seaside resort of San Teodoro can be reached in about 20 minutes from Olbia’s ferry terminal and airport. You don’t necessarily need a car whilst you’re staying there.

But nature lovers will also find plenty to enjoy in San Teodoro. At the Stagno di San Teodoro, a marshland area behind the dunes of La Cinta, you can spot many species of bird, amongst which the magnificent pink flamingos stand out in particular in spring. The Orizzonti di Gallura association organises guided tours of this area. And for those seeking peace and solitude, there is the chance to explore the unspoilt natural landscape in the nearby Monte Nieddu mountain range.

• Bank: In S. Teodoro, with an ATM available.
• Shopping: A wide range of shops in all sectors available all year round in S. Teodoro.
• Internet: From June 2017, internet access is regulated uniformly across the EU. The connection in the town and the surrounding area is very good almost everywhere. The  Centro Servizi Tartaruga lends out routers, and Sardafit guests can also log on for free at various restaurants.
• Nightlife: Plenty of choice locally.

• Restaurants: A wide range of options from ‘simple’ to ‘gourmet’ available all year round in S. Teodoro.
• Sport: Boat hire, bike hire, fishing, horse riding, sailing, surfing, diving, tennis. All available in Porto Ottiolu. Golf in Punt’Aldia, 3 km north of S. Teodoro. There is also an airfield for hang gliders and microlights under German management. (All subject to the season!)
• Language course: A small, dynamic language school opened in Posada in 2003, which also offers short courses.
• Telecommunications: Mobile phone reception is available almost everywhere. Payphones in street cafés. Additional fax and telephone services are provided by our German-speaking service office.
• Hiking: The local ‘Pro Loco’ in Ottiolu, Budoni and S. Teodoro (= the municipality’s tourist information office) offers a wide range of exploration tours across the whole island. Sardafits’ service office organises tours exclusively for its guests into the unspoilt mountainous countryside, the highlight of which is a feast with Sardinian shepherds in the most beautiful scenery, boat trips to the offshore islands, a traditional Sardinian wedding feast at a farmhouse in the countryside, and much more. A map is useful for walks into the hinterland, as there are no signposts away from the roads. Highly recommended: a stroll around the marina and walks along the beach!
